Upcycle with Pass Down the Gown
Details
This is a family-friendly event (ages 7+ welcome!) where people can create tote bags, sun hats, and other accessories by deconstructing preloved prom dresses and turning them into something new! Food and beverages will be provided.
This course will be taught by Chloe Franzen, a former University Club art teacher who now works at Kate Hundley and Metro Textiles in New York City. Feel free to drop off family and friends and enjoy the pool or bar!
Pass Down the Gown is a 501 c3 organization providing free prom dress rentals across Minnesota and beyond. Started by a University Club member in 2017, they hope to provide an equitable and sustainable shopping option. While this event is free, they do have a suggested donation of $25 to cover supplies, food, and organizational costs.
