The University Club offers a complete fitness and athletic
facility in St. Paul. The Club is able to offer personal training,
Fitness Assessments, and a variety of other health
Summit Avenue Clubhouse
Indoors: Full circuit Cybex, treadmills, rowing machines
upright and recumben cycles, stepers, Nordic Track, Skywalker,
dumbbells and a beautiful view overlooking downtown and the Mississippi
River Valley.
Outdoors: clay tennis court and swimming pool. Summit Avenue
provides our "running track."
Hours
The Fitness Center is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m.
to 11:00 p.m.; Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. During
the school year, the Fitness Center closes at 8:00 p.m. on Sundays
and Mondays.
The swimming pool opens Memorial Day Weekend and closes Labor
Day. It is guarded 7 days a week from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
After 8:00, you may swim at your own risk until 10:00 p.m.
The University Club sponsors a swim team for children ages
5-15 each summer. Over 150 children participate, swimming against
other similar clubs (Town and Country Club, Dellwood Hills, St.
Paul Tennis Club, etc.) 6 weeks of incredible practice and competition,
followed by an awards dinner at the end of the season.

Tennis Lessons - Tennis lessons for all ages
and standards are available at the Summit Avenue Clubhouse. Tennis
reservations are made by calling the Front Desk, 651-222-1751,
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Reservations may
be made up to 48 hours in advance. |
Fitness Center Orientations - Sessions are held
regularly at the Summit Avenue Fitness Center and offered to
members at no charge. A Professional Personal Trainer demonstrates
how to work the various pieces of equipment as well as an introduction
to the benefits of strength training. Wednesdays, 5-7 p.m.
During the summer and fall months special orientations are
offered for teens.
Fitness Assessments - Find your "starting
point" and track your progress as you work to achieve your
fitness goals. Assessments are made at through our Personal Trainer,
then the follow up discussions take place at the Club.
Rehabilitation Coordination - The University
Club is uniquely qualified to coordinate the transition from
hospital or clinic rehabilitation to an individual program at
the Club. The Club's Fitness Professionals will work together
with your physician and/or physical therapist to implement their
prescription for rehabilitation.
Massage Therapy - by appointment

Tanning Bed - Reservations for the tanning
bed on Summit are made at the Front Desk (651-222-1751).
